Back in June, the Samsung Conquer 4G appeared and disappeared like it was teasing hopefuls of what 4G would look like in a much more budget friendly shell. Come August, Sprint now officially announces that the Sprint Samsung Conquer 4G will be on sale in August 21, only costing $100, even after a $50 mail-in rebate, being the cheapest 4G phone so far. Looks like the July 15 leak date on the images back then was nothing.
It will carry an Android Gingerbread, powered by a 1GHz processor, backed up by Sprint’s fast 4G network. Its storage can be expanded to 32GB via a MicroSD, and it also supports WiFi, GPS, and even Stereo Bluetooth. It has a 3.2-megapixel camera at the back and 1.3-megapixal VGA camera at front. It was a question before why this phone had only average features, but now everything makes sense as it is priced at $100, making 4G accessible, even to the masses.
