LG unveiled their thinnest computer LCD display, the E2290V, at CES this week at only 7.2mm. The 21.5″ display has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and features LED backlighting for vivid color. The display also has what LG is calling “Mega Contrast Ratio” for superior play back of Blu-ray video. Energy use is reduced with the slimmer design along with reduced heat generation. LG advertises the device as more eco-friendly than previous displays because it is Mercury and Halogen-free. The display is expected to be available in 2011.
