The Wall Street Journal has filed a report within the last half hour confirming that the CDMA version of the iPhone 4 will be announced next Tuesday during Verizon’s scheduled media event in New York City at the Lincoln Center.
The confirmation follows months of speculation that recently came to a fever pitch this week, as images and video of the revised antenna housing made the rounds across the internet before being taken down by Apple.
The announcement of the Verizon iPhone was highly expected this week during Verizon’s keynote address, but was instead scheduled so as not to compete with the tradeshow, owing to Apple’s history of non participation at CES in favor of its own events.
