Peoplesafe secures landlord deal

Loneworker protection provider signs deal with two Worcestershire landlords to provide 119 Identicom devices

Yorkshire based Lone worker safety solution provider Peoplesafe has signed two contracts with Worcester Community Housing and Rooftop Housing Group to provide them with its Identicom device. The deal means a total of 119 devices will be sold to the companies to keep track of lone field workers.

The gadgets – which can work of any mobile network – allow employees to perform a “safe and well” check, has a “red alert” button which opens an audio channel to the Peoplesafe’s 24 hour monitoring centre and a GPS option allowing user location to be instantly pinpointed.

Peoplesafe managing director Ian Johannessen said: “We recognise the important role that housing associations play in our communities.

“We are very pleased to be working with these two major landlords in the Worcestershire area to provide a technical solution to ensure the safety of their staff and help them meet their employers’ duty of care.”
