Motorola Xoom Versus HP TouchPad Spec Comparison Battle

Yesterday at the HP webOS event HP announced their new mobile tablet known as the HP TouchPad. But how well does this new webOS 3.0 HP TouchPad stand up to the likes of the Android 3.0 Honeycomb sporting Motorola Xoom?

Well the guys over at Android Community have come up with a comparison chart pitting the new HP ToushPad tablet against the Motorola Xoom and lists all the known confirmed specs in this comparison battle.

So what here’s the differences, weight wise the HP TouchPad comes out a tad heavier than the Motorola Xoom at 704 grams as opposed to 730 grams, the HP TouchPad is also a tad thicker at 13.7mm while the Xoom is 12.9mm.

Screen wise the HP TouchPad is smaller at 9.7 inches while the Motorola Xoom has a 10.1-inch screen. Camera wise the Motorola Xoom comes out on top with its 2 megapixel front camera and 5 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash while the HP TouchPad only has a 1.3 megapixel fixed focus front facing camera.

When it comes to processor, the HP TouchPad has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2GHz CPU while the Motorola Xoom uses the 1GHz Tegra 2 dual-core processor, and you can check out all the details on the chart by hitting up Android Community’s website along with a multitude of images of the HP TouchPad and Motorola Xoom.

However judging by the known confirmed specs it would appear to me that the Motorola Xoom has this tablet battle firmly in the bag, but what do our readers think?
