Jamie Heywood joins as director of mobile to replace Jonathan Kini, who moved to another role within the company last month
Virgin Media has appointed Jamie Heywood as its director of mobile. He replaces Jonathan Kini, who left the post last month to take on a new senior role within the customer and operations division at the company.
Heywood (pictured) joins with more than 10 years experience in the mobile industry. He was chief executive of Virgin Mobile in India where he helped launch the company in the country and prior to that was Virgin Mobile Chine chief executive , where he secured the country’s first ever MVNO contract. He also held roles at Orange, both in the UK and Thailand.
Virgin Media executive director of mobile and home phone Graeme Oxby said: “Jamie has a wealth of experience and an exceptional understanding of how Virgin Media is shaking up the market and giving consumers something truly compelling.
