T-Mobile and LG Announce G2X, First 42Mbps Markets

T-Mobile LG G2XFollowing up, T-Mobile and LG have jointly announced the G2X Android smartphone, The phone features support for T-Mobile’s 42Mbps HSPA+ data service, 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 4-inch capacitive touch display and Android 2.2, 8.0 megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and autofocus and a front-facing camera for video calling.

In related news, T-Mobile has also announced the first markets to launch 42Mbps HSPA+ data markets in Las Vegas, New York and Orlando, Fla., followed closely by Chicago and further expansion of the New York network into Long Island, N.Y., and Northern New Jersey later this year. T-Mobile expects 140 million Americans in 25 markets to have access to the increased speeds.
