Turnover could hit the 100 million milestone this year as Purple Partnership franchising programme and sales continue to accelerate
Shebang Technologies Group said it is on course to achieve a 72 per cent increase in turnover by the end of the year, which would see revenues reach about 100 million.
Turnover for 2010 stood at 58 million and the company said this year’s figure is currently tracking at a 30 per cent increase.
Iain Humphrey (pictured), Shebang Technologies Group managing director, said the continued roll-out of its Purple Partnership franchising scheme and increased sales are responsible for the uplift.
Shebang has 110 Go Mobile stores – 43 wholly owned and 67 of which have been handed to franchise partners as part of the programme.
Ten more franchise stores are due to open in the coming weeks and the company has identified some 25 new towns nationwide for stores. It expects to have 140 Purple Partnership storeswithin six months, and 200 within 18 months.
Humphrey said: “You expect certain areas to be doing really well and other areas that need more work, but the position we find ourselves in at the moment is every area is growing.
“We’ve identified at least 25 new towns where we’d like to open a store so we’re right on track for our predictions from the beginning. But we don’t want it to get any quicker than that, because we need to ensure we still enhance our service to our existing Purple Partnership franchisees.”
Shebang Logistics Solutions, one of six business within the Shebang Technologies Group, has signed an exclusive UK distribution deal with accessories manufacturer Santok.
Its STK range includes Apple iPhone accessories, chargers, Bluetooth headsets, docking stations and protective cases. Its RAC range includes reusable emergency-power solutions and Bluetooth car kits.
Shebang will distribute the products to its retail partners including Asda, Go Mobile and almost 300 independent retailers.
Santok managing director Jay Pau said: “Our product development teams will now work closely together to fast-track both Shebang and Santok’s product roadmaps.”
