HTC Sensation goes official, it’s like an EVO 3D without the 3D
Here’s HTC’s latest Gingerbread offering, the HTC Sensation. This baby’s powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor under the hood with a 4.3-inch S-LCD touchscreen and VGA camera on the front and 8-megapixel AF camera with dual-LED flash ’round the back. It also intros the company’s news version of Sense. The Sensation will hit the European market first, and is scheduled to hit the US this summer.

BlackBerry Trade-up Program launches in Canada
Finally, RIM’s BlackBerry Trade Up Program is now available in Canada. If you’ve got a BlackBerry Curve, Bold, Storm, Pearl, Tour, 8700 or 8000 series smartphone you want to get rid off, you can trade in one of these phones to get a discount on a new one. Yes, this was a bit late in being offered up in Canada, but as they say, better late than never.

Nokia unveils E6, X7 with new Symbian ‘Anna’ software
Both the Nokia E6 and X7 are now official. The E6 the sports a 2.46-inch touchscreen display complemented by a full QWERTY keypad, 8-megapixel full focus camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, and 8GB of built-in storage. The X7, meanwhile, packs a 4-inch AMOLED display, 8-MP camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, and 8GB of on-board memory. Both run on the latest version of Symbian called Anna that features a new look, a faster browser, enhanced Ovi maps, better text input, and enterprise grade security just to name a few. No word about local availability yet, but both device are scheduled to begin shipping this quarter.

Rogers launching Xperia Play & arc April 28th
We already know how much these two device will cost – $99.99 on a 3-year contract and $549.99 without one. And now, we finally know when both the Xperia Play and arc will hit the market. April 28th is the big day when these two new Sony Ericsson Xperia phones will officially debut in the market. So, you guys excited?

Nokia announces Symbian ‘Anna’ update for N8, E7, C7 and C6-01; first of a series of updates (video)
Nokia is finally veering away from their practice of not providing firmware upgrades. Symbian Anna will be released as an update to current Symbian^3 smartphones such as the Nokia E7, C7, N8, and C6-01. And take note, this is just the first in a series of updates. As to when it will be released, it’s sill anybody’s guess, but it will definitely be happening “over the coming months.”
