Motorola delays Droid Bionic launch until summer to make ’several enhancements’
Yes, the Verizon Droid Bionic’s launch has been postponed. This is according to the Wall Street Journal who confirmed with Moto that the Droid won’t be out until Q3. No specific details were revealed why they opted to push back the Bionic’s release, but a Motorola spokesperson did go on to reveal that their “incorporating several enhancements to make this an even better consumer experience.” Sounds like Moto’s taking a page out of Samsung’s playbook. Hopefully, it’ll be worth the wait.

Spy shots of Nokia C2-06 Touch and Type slider emerge
Nokia’s newest Touch and Type offering has just been leaked. The Nokia C2-06 is a slider equipped with a 2-megapixel camera, 3.5mm jack, microUSB port, and a BL-5C battery. It also sports dual-SIM support. That’s all we know for now, and though no regional availability was mentioned, we’re already doubting this will be released in the US since dual-SIM phones aren’t big ticket devices in the region.

LG Optimus 3D android phone

LG Optimus 3D coming soon to Rogers
Lg’s gasses-free 3D smartphone is coming to Canada by way of Rogers. It will reportedly be part of Rogers’ back-to-school offerings. For those not familiar with this 3D beast, the LG Optimus 3D boasts of a 4.3-inch 480×800 resolution touchscreen, dual 5-megapixel AF 3D-capable cameras with LED flash ’round the back, 8GB on-board memory, and a 1GHz processor under the hood with Android 2.2 as its OS. No word on its pricing yet, but we’re already expecting this baby to be a bit on the pricey side.

White iPhone with new multitasking UI purportedly spotted in Vietnam [video]
Last year, Vietnam was a hotbed for iPhone 4 videos prior to its official announcement. Now, they’re making their mark once again by being the first to out a preview of what could be the next version of iOS 4. A new task switcher UI, which now makes use of thumbnails instead of just icons, is highlighted in the video. This is reportedly test build 8A216 of iOS 4, though it’s still not clear yet if this will actually be released to the public. We’ll have more on this as this story continues to develop.

Public Mobile data device called “BUZZ” now available
Public Mobile is now offering data services. And to commemorate this momentous event, they’ve also launched the Buzz. This QWERTY handset packs a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and a microSD card for additional memory. It’s no powerhouse smartphone, but it’s a pretty decent entry-level data device. Retailing at just $99 a pop, this is a perfect fit for the Public Mobile and their target market.
